Hello there. I'm reblogging the latest post I did for Georgette Magazine (have you read their latest issue? If you haven't then what are you waiting for?). It's sooo HOT in Cape Town and I am NOT enjoying the heat, the sweat and the inevitable misery that such intense humidity can bring. SO! I'm daydreaming about Autumn/Winter (call my crazy, I don't care) and my new wardrobe for next season. So obvs, I went in search for some inspiration and I am in complete like with le turtleneck. Icons wore it back then and the street style queens are wearing it now. Time to stock up on those delightful neck warmers, people!
Oh yessss, here's something for the fella's. In December, I joined tumblr and I'm so glad I did! I discovered Ezekiel Clothing and I'm in awe (that's an understatement) with their Spring 2014 look book. You can follow them on tumblr, instagram like their facebook page and then drool in the process ( I've done all of the above). Initially, my intention was to share some images but I went a little nuts as I like them all so ye. You can also watch the video here.
"Founded in Southern California in 1992, the Ezekiel lifestyle has been created organically for over 21 years through a growing community of surfers, skaters, photographers, artists, musicians, friends and designers. At Ezekiel we are always motivated to create supreme quality and timeless products that speak to our community and to live by the mantra: ALL WE HAVE IS NOW."
I've always wanted a good quality backpack and considering that I'm off to Sydney in June, I've decided to go on the hunt for a nifty one and NOT the typical touristy ones. A few days ago I spotted Olend's S/S 2014 collection via artnau and it totally doubled the desire to not only own one but perhaps two? I am also absolutely smitten with the beautiful series of photographs, shot by Carlota Bird. Dreamy sigh to the max
I recently discovered Mary Manning's blog, Unchanging Window. I am thoroughly enjoying her photography, particularly this series she shot in September 2012. I love, love the styling, the photography, the hair, just everything.
South Korean born designer, Cheol Dong is inspired by art and architecture, focusing on men's tailoring with vintage backdrops. When he launched his label he began with a menswear collection and later incorporated a women's line. It really is casual luxury at it's finest.

OMW, I love this look book. Berlin based, Reality Studio's S/S 2014 collection is beyond delish. Designer, Svenja Specht was inspired by the film, Mishima and collaborated with French artists, Milleneufcentquatrevinghtquarte ( what a mouthful,eh?). I really love the loose tailoring and the Japanese influence.
A few days ago I had the privilege of working with Lindsey Appolis, a self-taught photographer based in Cape Town. Three months ago we met at the Shnit short film festival and decided to collaborate (be sure to stay tuned for that people). I'm so impressed with his work and particularly his outstanding ability to effortlessly capture the raw beauty of the Cape Flats. These are just some of my favourites I wanted to share with you but check out the rest of his work on behance.
Happy New Year! I'm starting the year off with just some of my favourite street style looks from 2013. If you'd like to see more, go check out my boards on pinterest.
