Madewell's Fall 2014 collection pretty much sums up my style. It's simple and casual yet chic ( I hate that word but I used it anyway, just putting it out there).
Last year, I noticed this trend slowly creeping back and this year it has officially been revived! This time I'm completely sold. I would wear them with midi skirts or cropped pants. On my wishlist (emphasis on WISH as I am a teacher) are the Zara, Rage & Bone and Manolo Blahnik's. These street style goddesses inspired me and hopefully you too. Kisses
Another cold front has hit Cape Town and I'm loving it. I'm inside, warm and comfortable, therefore, this weather is fitting for a blog post and possibly a cuddle. Anyway, Equilibrium Vitae's latest look book is so majestic, I just had to share it. This eco friendly label makes their heavenly tees from 100% USA certified organic and pesticide free cotton using water based printing methods which have no chemicals. All their designs are handmade in Paris, France. Magnifique!
"Equilibrium prides itself on being a brand that not only helps our environment but also attempts to bring awareness into the fashion industry. All of our creations have a higher purpose. Our intention is to create and expand awareness for our environment and promote kindness in our daily lives. Equilibrium Vitae’s fashion tees are handmade with lots of love and dedication."
Sonia Rykiel's Resort collection, Urban Poetry is classic yet modern with striking qualities. I like the pastel palette with pops of red and the deconstructed ruffled dress, the kitsch sweaters with phrases and surprisingly the leopard print( I've been converted, I used to loathe this print but it can work without looking like a desperate cougar). Happy Friday fash lovers.

Mikel Colas' latest collection: Olympic Letter was inspired by the 1984 Olympics in LA. I like the neutral tones and I would totally wear those brogues. I would also like to run my fingers through his hair :). On another note, while looking at this please listen to Cape Tonian talent/lap slide guitar genius, Andrew James & The Steady Tiger. Thanks. Peace

KENZO showcased their S/S 2014 collection by teaming up with Khalil Joseph and hip hop group Shabazz Palaces. It's quite delightfully bizzare and the vision from all three parties are a combination of pure artistic genius. Enjoy!
PS: Random I know but I recently took this picture at Muizenburg,Cape Town. I just had to share the absolute splendour of living so close to the ocean .
It's cold in Cape Town and I'm warm in bed looking at editorials. I could do this whole day, every day. Smitten with this editorial for The Gentlewoman S/S 2014

I am so intrigued by this beautiful house in rural NSW,Australia. Owned by Elise Pioch Balzac and Pablo Chappell, they decided to convert this church (built in 1880) into their home. Inevitably, with all the history their humble abode is rich in quality and extremely unique. Elements of their home have been left untouched, e.g: the original church sign in the kitchen, the pew and the 1880 floor boards made from Sydney blue gum. This is probably one of the most inspiring homes I've ever seen.

I love finding new labels, it's so enthralling! Today, I discovered a French label, La Prestic Ouiston. Owner and designer, Laurence Maheo is fascinated with vintage fabrics and makes use of natural materials such as silk, wool and cashmere. In this collection, I love the mixed prints, the quirkiness and the androgynous touch.
