Brigitte Bardot is one of my favourite style icons, she was a stylish and saucy little minx. The sex kitten (as she was nicknamed)was casually dashing with her bed hair, large headbands, tights, capri pants, ballet pumps, knee high socks and striped tee's- quintessentially influential and oh so sexy.
Three years ago I discovered Karla's Closet,I was hooked and religiously followed her blog ever since. She is sooo chic and feminine and she has the most amazing eye for vintage. Karla's closet has inspired many of my outfits and she has definitely changed the way I shop for vintage.
Thigh high slit skirts and dresses were all over the runway. Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham andJil Sander all rocked this trend ( just to name a few). It's just so sexy, for evening wear this would be ideal but I really think one can be daring and opt for a skirt in the day. I would maybe wear a thigh slit skirt with a tee and ballet flats? For evening wear, a thigh slit dress with an interesting print.Here are some images I've had saved on my laptop and I wanted share a few with you. I really, really like this trend, it's gorge. x
The film industry's most prestigious event is the Academy Awards,so it's inevitable that the fashion world has it's very own. The fashion industry's answer to the Oscars is the CFDA's (Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards). Here are some of my favourites looks;
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

I'm loving Bensimon sneakers at the moment. If you haven't heard of it, it's a French label that's popular amongst many celebrities such as Kate Moss and Cameron Diaz. It's just 100% classic, casual chic!! My sister introduced me to it, when she went on vacation to France last year she bought a pair. I remember she came from the airport wearing them with rolled up skinnies and she teamed it with a good quality boyfriend blazer, stylish to say the least!!
Anyway, I bought a replica at Trenery and I must say they have come in handy over weekends while running errands. Recently, I've been wearing them with a maxi dress but for Winter I just slip on my vintage leather jacket and voila!! Hot to trot peeps. x
Recently the New York City Opera recently had an event benefiting the costume department. Famous designers such as Carolina Herrera, Narcisso Rodriguez, Richard Chai and amongst others shared some of their fantasy sketches for their most favoured opera characters. Here's just a few that caught my eye.
