As most of us like to browse through many street style blogs for inspiration, lately I've been getting alot of outfit ideas from what I like to call: stylish duo's. These women (and one man, I had to share that one with Ulyana and Flor) are either friends, family, colleagues or just random people paired together for that perfect street style shot. Either way, these duo's have contrasting or similar looks that are pleasing to the eye, recently there have been some that have grabbed my attention. thought I'd share just a few.
The most incredible garden party in the world (well, in my opinion anyway). Stella McCartney is one of my favourite designers and I just love how she presented her Resort collection, what better way than to showcase it with a good 'ol jolly garden party.I like the loose tailoring of the pants, the pastel tones and playful prints.
Photographer and film director, Jovan Todorovic's portraits are so beautiful. His photography is invitingly gloomy that's why I think it appealed to me as it reminds me of the cold weather we've been experiencing in Cape Town. You can also check out his work on flickr
The Couverture and The Garbstore is a store based in Notting Hill. You MUST visit their online store, they have the best independent designer wear from Rachel Comey to Colenimo and many, many more.
Yes, another resort collection but I undoubtedly had to share this one. I'm completing my reports at the moment, which inevitably takes up most of my time but I definitely took time out to share Chloe's Resort 2013 collection with all of you. To see the rest go here
The Row never and I mean never disappoints! For this collection I love the slouchy, boyish cuts, the sharp tailoring and the use of black, white, amber, magenta and brown. Beyond divi's
Here are 10 looks that have inspired me.
Her Stella McCartney striped cape/top, like the colour palette too
Her polka dot palazzo pants
Her green knitted sweater with that Prada shirt
Her jacket with that grey turtleneck
Her jeans with those boots
Her peter pan collar and her Amelie inspired 'do
Her hair, boots and tattoo's- great combo
Her leather shorts
Her jacket worn so effortlessly over her shoulders with those distressed jeans and loafers
Her floral dress with those loafers
It's a Friday night and I decided to blog before I watch Martha Marcy May Marlene with a few peeps. It's cold and rainy so we decided to stay in. Anyway, my sister told me about this Australian designer, Kym Ellery, she's a force to be reckoned with, no doubt. Her Fall 2012 collection is to die for, the elongated silhouettes, the pop of blue and the neutral palette are all drool worthy. I know I'm a little late with this but honestly I'm not bovvered.
This editorial for Vogue UK July 2012 made me giddy, I adore the styling. The coats and the knits are what I love the most,I was recently complaining about the dreary weather that we've been experiencing in Cape Town but this editorial rekindled my excitement for Winter. Anyway, I also want to mention that someone recently said to me that my opinion is not valued simply because I'm not in the industry but whatevs, then don't read my blog. Don't be a dickhead, just be nice.

I just spotted this over at 10and5. I'm in awe of this collaboration by Paul Cocks and Kate Desmarais. Paul was interested in shooting portraits and Kate, fashion, so they blended their ideas and compromised with photographing a model, portrait style using clothes as head gear. This is so awesome.
