Some more of my favourite street style looks during London Fashion Week.
P.S: Maybe you'll notice, there was a particular sweater that was trending, I love it!
It's such a beautiful day in Cape Town and I had to stay indoors because I have the flu, it's so frustrating, so here's another blog post while I sit in bed feeling like death. This delicious editorial is for Io donna No.38, the styling is just too awesome and those heels in the first image are on my wish list.

For a while I've liked the idea of wearing overalls (whether short or long), I will admit, I haven't made a concerted effort to hunt for them but I've decided that for this Summer I will go digging around Cape Town.
I really enjoyed looking at the backstage photo's from New York Fashion Week, especially these from Alexander Wang by Le 21eme Adrondissement. Have a beautiful weekend
During New York Fashion Week, my most favoured collections were: Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Mara Hoffman, Karen Walker and Suno. I was so torn between Karen Walker and Suno but I made the decision to share the collection that would be a visual feast so after much thought I decided that Suno was the one. Why? Well, just look at the high shine fabrics, the printed silks, it's all so fresh and every piece is so aesthetically pleasing. You can view the rest of the collection here
If you regularly follow my blog you probably know this but if you're visiting you should be informed that I have a penchant for beards,so when I spotted this shoot for Apollo Nova,I drooled a little. Johnny Harrington is officially on my hottie list, what's more delicious than a thick ginger beard? Seriously. Anyway, Mr Harrington so effortlessly brings out the gentleman in him, he's all dapper and old school wearing tweed and well tailored suits.

Love all the pastels, the variety of delicious prints, the thick rimmed glasses, the ties, pretty much everything about this collection rocks my little world and somehow I feel so compelled to get me a baseball cap.

Here are some of my favourite looks during New York Fashion Week.
Monde Harold Mtsi is the editor of The Renaissance Man, a fashion blog that encapsulates men's fashion. Did you know that Monde and I were at school together?Back then I thought he was cool and today my opinion has not wavered. I have always admired his style and his entire demeanour. This classy gentleman is distinguished, talented and successful. I honestly love reading his blog, it's informative and it never fails to feed my knowledge on men's fashion, therefore, I am grateful. I am so ridiculously honoured to this interview with him. Enjoy
Tell us about yourself
I'm a creative by nature. Fashion interests developed by design. I've got a fetish for fashion magazines and I'm a strong believer in drinking coffee in the morning before you leave the house. I have a love for people, great food and fantastic appetite for fashion.
What, in your opinion are the top current trends for men's fashion?
Ooh, tough one, especially since I don't really believe or follow trends. Summer trench coats in cottons and linens in a nautical theme are a definite trend for guys this spring and summer. I believe color blocking in pastels or sorbet type colors is also in trend for dapper guys. The man bag is in, it must be big, bold, leather and studded - otherwise, keep on keeping on with your backpack. Personally, those are the only trends I'm interested in.
What should every man have in his wardrobe?
Three tailored suits (1 in Navy + 1 in Black + 1 in a light color). Suits are great to alternate between work and play and they are staples in any man's wardrobe. Men should always own a set of pocket squares. If you're going to buy expensive leather shoes, buy shoe-horses too so they can retain their shape. A crisp white shirt is a must, along with a great charcoal cardigan.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Wow. 10 years? Really? In South Africa, head of a magazine empire. I also see myself as the key opinion leader when it comes to menswear issues within South Africa.
What's your favourite item of clothing in your closet and why?
That's really not a fair question. I love everything in my wardrobe as it creates an aspect of my fashion persona. I must admit though, my Cerise Zulu Warrior Printed suit from 466/64Fashion is currently my favorite. It has been getting a huge buzz and I'm loving the attention.
What are you reading to at the moment?
I'm reading JG Ballard's Cocaine Nights - it's been forever since I bought the book. Now I'm finally reading it.
Who are your style icons and why?
Tom Ford - He is the beginning and the end of fashion for both womenswear and menswear. He's creativity transcends the ideals of just garments and he creates an entire lifestyle. An entire aspiration. Everything he touches turns to gold and I want some of that gold.
Do you have any tips or advice?
Tips or advice? Be you. There is no better version of yourself than the one you wear with a smile. Fashion is about having fun and style is understanding how you like to enjoy yourself with clothes. Stay well groomed and clean, nothing sexy about dirty people.
