This post is a little late but I trust you all had a glorious Christmas, I'm spending QT with my family and it's just too heavenly hence my absence over the past few days. I'm not blogging until January but if you're in Cape Town, head over to Deer Hunter to see my range. May you all have a super fabulous New Years! xxx
I like the mix of texture and colour in Erdem's pre-fall 2013 collection, it's quite outstanding. Anyway, Cape Town is so hot, I'm going to swim and then tan. Peace

At my school, the Grade 3's and 6's painted their interpretation of Picasso's Weeping Woman, so I grabbed some, had them scanned and decided to share them with you all. It's pretty interesting to look at.
Deer Hunter, a well established Jo'burg store has moved to Cape Town and will be the sole distributor of my range along with Time and a few moths, Asseblief and Maria McCloy. So, if you're in Cape Town, please pay them a visit. You can find them in Albert Road, Woodstock (next to The Old Biscuit Mill and The Cat's Meow).
Some nice outer wear that may inspire you all.
Her jacket, absolutely love the print and the cut.
Her marvellous cream coat, rolled up sleeves with those leather trousers. tres chic people
Her leather jacket with tassels, white shirt and top knot
Her green trench coat matched with that Summer frock and espadrille flatforms. Heck yes
Her leather jacket thrown over her ensemble. Works every time
Her casual coat with that formal get up. Oh Eleonora! So delish
Her jersey coat tucked at the waist with that green belt.
Her fur coat (faux fur of course)with that hat. So 1920's and fabz
Her hounds tooth coat and those leather trouser with that bag worn as a sling. Too good
This has got to be my favorite right now. Her shawl/jacket with those pockets, how good is that?
I just realised a few days ago that it's been a while since I've done a blog post about a vintage photographer ,so recently I spotted Saul Leiter's work via pinterest and decided to share. He was recognised as a fashion photographer during the 50's and 60's but during this time he also used to roam the streets of New York and Paris capturing these amazing images all for his own personal satisfaction. These colour photographs were never intended to be published as Leiter stored them away in boxes, however, during the 90's he decided to make prints. These images of street life in New York during the 50's are so unique, it gives us a different look at the city during this particular time. Enjoy
I had previously blogged about Alexander Terekhov's A/W 2012/'13 collection ( which you can view here). So, I inevitably have to share his Spring/Summer 2013 collection with you. Everything about this collection is timeless and wildly feminine.

After a few hours of tiresome Christmas shopping (long ass queues, sweaty crowds of people, malls, traffic etc etc), I was knackered but I feel rather refreshed after seeing Jane Sews Summer range via Luck Pony. If you've never heard of Jane Sews, it's a South African label, owned by a lass named Amy. She created her label because she loves vintage, the label is described as follows:
"An eclectic blend of old and new is inspired by clean-cut femininity and details from iconic eras, for a contemporary take on nostalgic styles. Celebrating natural fabrics, Jane Sews enjoys using luxe threads and supports local industry. The label offers a limited range of on-trend apparel and timeless pieces for the modern little lady."
I saw Band of Outsiders pre-fall 2012 collection and got a little excited, it's just too good. Designer, Scott Sternberg was inspired by a dream visit to The Lightning Field, Walter De Maria's land art installation in New Mexico, it's pretty evident in it's prints. He also introduced the BOY monogram; shirts being layered with knits. The all black designs are all favorable for evening wear and the body con skirt that's layered in such a way it looks like steps. I can only dream of wearing every piece.
