I wanted to blog about this a few weeks ago, however, school had me tied down but I've completed my work and I'm officially on holiday. Anyway, I wanted to share a few vintage stores that may tickle your fancy while shopping for Christmas gifts or even just for the holidays. I've previously blogged about most of them so here goes:

Definitely one of my favourites, when my budget will allow me to, I'm definitely buying something from their shop. They have a ridiculously wide variety of vintage and they ship to South Africa too.
I'm also salivating over Summerland's latest holiday 2012 look book. Too good, too fabulous
Words cannot express the outstanding quality at Dear Golden. Do visit their etsy store here, you will die at the beauty.
Babette is based in Cape Town so if you're in the city, do go in and shop. They have the most incredible reworked vintage frocks as well as beautiful and trendy shirts, shorts, skirts, jewellery and many other delicious items. So, if you're not in Cape Town, make sure you get here and shop at this store. They are the bizznezz
This store is also based in Cape Town. It's wonderfully and carefully selected. They're filled with designer vintage pieces. Very drool worthy.
I did a previous post a few months back about denim overalls ( which you can view here) but I would also fancy overalls made from corduroy, leather or cotton. It would defs spruce up my wardrobe.
One of my new hobbies is to look at fashion editorials ( is that worthy enough to be called a hobby? I don't know) and this weekend I chilled out looking at a few, this one caught my eye. It's for Vogue Netherlands (December 2012) and what I love about it is the voluminous hair, big sunglasses, wide legged trousers, gym shorts and denim overalls. It's all pretty much reminiscent of the 70's.

A vintage Christmas gift post is coming very soon, it's the last week of school and the amount of admin I have to complete is just ridic. Anyway, I sneaked in an hour to look at some of the pre-fall collections and decided to share Rachel Comey's. Why? Well, there is a definite hint of androgyny for example the jumpsuit with tuxedo lapels. It's comfortable with easy-to-wear dresses, cardi's and slim yet loosing fitting trousers and not forgetting that leather bomber jacket. It's just beautifully simple and perfect for an Autumn day.

All I want for Christmas is a pair of loafers from Santoni. These babies are from their Runelli capsule collection. Santoni describes the collection as:
"The result is a small romantic masterpiece of pure Venetian taste, a capsule collection where baroque suggestions blend with the design mastery of Gio Ponti’s avant-garde spirit."
I've never done a music mix before but I've been listening to some old time Christmas tracks and I thought I'd quickly compile my faves which only features; Sinatra, Crosby and "King" Cole. I grew up singing along to these with the family so here are my top 10 that I love.
1. White Christmas- Bing Crosby
2. O little Town of Bethlehem- Frank Sinatra
3. Christmas song- Nat 'King' Cole
4. Silent Night- Bing Crosby
5. Hark the herald angels sing- Frank Sinatra
6. Mistletoe and holly- Frank Sinatra
7. Santa Claus is coming to town- Nat 'King' Cole
8. Silver bells- Bing Crosby
9. O come all ye faithful- Frank Sinatra
10. Jingle Bells- Nat 'King' Cole
I plan on doing a Christmas post, which WILL happen this week. However, today I want to show you Reiss' S/S 2013 collection. I'm pretty sure when you go shopping, you end up browsing for your boyfriend/fiance/husband. Yessss, we can allll relate, right? Well, Reiss' latest collection will give you ideas for your special someone. This collection has summer suits, coats, an array of colour and my favourite: rolled up tunnel shaped trousers. Lovezz it! P.S: I'm blasting this into my ears right now: Radiohead vs Dave Brubeck, listen here
Thanks to Samuel Jing for this
An editorial from one of my favourite magazines, The Gentlewoman. If you haven't bought this issue, you really must. I've read it a million times so I quickly want to share this editorial with you before I dash out. Lara Stone looks incredible, her hair and bold lips is something I'd definitely like to emulate.
"Definitive men's tailoring and ultra feminine evening wear: two fierce fashion alternatives, show cased by the incomparable Lara Stone."
