In Cape Town, summer is in full swing but despite the heavenly heat, I'm loving the oversized layering for Document Journal.

Mansur Gavriel's S/S 2015 collection is all kinds of amazing. I always blog about stuff I could never afford (what a lol) but I can admire and dream. Anyway, the quality(ah yes, the beauty and splendour of Italian leather) simplicity and classic designs are just glorious.
Clare Elsaesser's paintings caught my eye on good 'ol faithful pinterest. Her flower covered portraits are beautiful and the rest, well they're pretty captivating too. Her etsy shop is awesome and seemingly quite popular (I am not surprised though). Have a look, dive right in and enjoy her work.
Spartan Shop's Fall 2014 look book is heaven and their scrupulously curated objects are just beautiful. Their selection is timeless and I could honestly buy everything but I'm on a budget so I have to be selective (bleh). I fell in love with their Fall look book but check out their Winter collection it's inevitably filled with nifty and pretty objects. Happy shopping!

It's December, which means we're Christmas shopping and if you're a parent, you're also stocking up on some sweet threads for your kids. So without further ado, I'm proud to host this giveaway from Sticky Fudge, a South African vintage inspired label for children. My niece, Riya (the gorge one below) modelled for their Winter range and she was adorable to say the least. Their Summer collection has lovely pieces for this festive season. Soooo, if you'd like to win a R500 voucher, please do the following:
The angels were present when Sydney based designer, Toni Matiscevski created his S'S 2015 collection. It's sculptural yet soft., elegant and refined. I'll be daydreaming about his clothes for the next few days (for reals). A standing ovation and a round of applause for Mr Matiscevski!
I haven't done a Q&A in a while which is utterly preposterous! I have redeemed my inconsistency because I have the pleasure and the priviledge to interview an up and coming British designer. His name is Leopold Albert and his latest menswear collection is the epitome of cool. Sit, back, relax and let's get to know this talented gentleman.
Tell us what your inspiration was for your latest collection?
For AW14 I looked at our target consumer and though what would they need for the colder seasons. I like to develop new collections based of the last season so I did for this collection was create a continuation of the SS14 and imagined if my target consumer already had a few pieces from my last collection what would they want to add to the collection.
What are some staple pieces every man should have in his wardrobe?
A few staple items a man should have in his wardrobe
1. Oxford button down shirt
Its a great staple, If you stick to simple colours like Blue or white you will automatically look decent for most occasions.
2. A pair of jeans from either Levi's or Edwin
Jeans play a big part in a man's life so you need a good pair of jeans to get through life's trials and tribulations .
Can be made casual and formal depending on your styling and having this item will give you the ability to do that.
4. Vans Old skool or Converse Allstars
No nonsense trainers that are comfortable and can be styled with anything even a suit so go get a pair
5. A pair of Dickies Work pant
Kind of like the Chino, it fits well within a wardrobe and the fabric is amazing as it comes in stain resistant and can with stand most thing you want to drop on them
6. Loafers or Oxfords
Sometimes trainers are not always the way forward you may have to spice up your life. Get a plain pair in either black or Brown and you will be set for life.
7. Uniqlo Underwear
Lasts a very long time in various colours that will sing to your hearts content, so stock up and the socks are great to.
What is on your fashion wish list right now?
For me I try to wear my own brand most of the time. Only things I really are a pair of Visvim FBT shoes or a pair of Balmain jeans.
What are the future plans for Leopold Albert?
For the future I'm looking to expand the brand by offering more content through social media and develop the collections to have more pieces and detail. A womens wear collection is the next challenge I face as I have never designed it before but it will be exciting to see what people think..
Do you have any fashion tips or advice?
I always try to keep things simple in terms of style and buy the odd stand out piece so you don't look to plain jane. As for advice about fashion it is a fun world from the outside but a lot of hard work and determination will get you somewhere so always try to be the best at what you do and never forget to network.
RE-STORE is a vintage/second hand online store owned by Franziska Greiner and Markus John. Their take on vintage is right up my alley. It's unconventional and contemporary. This brings so much delight to my vintage loving soul. A lot people believe you should look like you've stepped out of a time machine but seriously we should wear vintage because of it's timeless quality. This dreamy look book was shot in the streets of Vienna.

I really, really fancy the way Luisa Brimble captures these beautiful buds. Those wattles and those torch ginger flowers had me ooh'ing and aah'ing.
P.S: It's the end of term at school so it's crunch time.During the next few days, I'll try my best to bring you some visual treasures. xx
